My first experience with the Lord came as a young man but I did not go on to live for Jesus. He never left me and I was always aware of His presence in my life. My rebellion may have been due to a lack of discipleship or just my sinful nature (Isaiah 53:6).

As a teenager I began to drink heavily and continued to do so until I dropped out of school at the age of sixteen. Shortly thereafter I joined the army where I began to use and sell drugs. In the fall of 1974 I was arrested for selling narcotics, and in April of 1975 was sentenced to five years in prison. It was in prison that I fully dedicated my life to Jesus.

I was miraculously released in the spring of 1976 and started to attend bible college. I had been out of prison less than a year when I began to work with Youth For Christ. After finishing school I worked for two other para-church organizations, one of which I pioneered. We started two out-reach centers which were designed to reach the youth in the area. We did reach them, and saw many lives changed by the gospel.

Our goal was not only to reach them, but to get them locked into a good bible preaching church where they would grow in the things of God. The problem we encountered was that the local churches in the area would not follow up on these young believers.

The frustration of this led me to start our first church. Since that time the Lord has brought us through many new experiences and trials. He has used our family in a variety of ways; and to help others who are doing the same. Our primary ministry currently involves speaking to churches across the U.S. and abroad, and the maintenance and development of Ministry Maker.

We have five anointed children ages 15 to 26, and one beautiful granddaughter. Most of the photos you see on the site are of our family and from our personal ministry experiences. Our prayer is that we will continue to be used to advance the kingdom as we draw closer than ever to the return of our Lord. Please pray for us as we enter the next stage of our lives and ministry.
