Hope for the Hopeless

Cross-in-pennsylvania-franklin-isabellIsaiah 45:2-3 says, “I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze, and cut through their iron bars, and I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden wealth of secret places, in order that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.”

God is going to break through the prisons of life and release those who are precious to Him; the hidden treasures. Those of you who feel hopeless and have been told you are worthless. He is going to do this to show you that He is God, and no one will be able to thwart His plans for you.

May the Lord bless you and keep you strong. May you rise up and be victorious in all you do. May all who read these words have a fresh revelation of God; a new understanding that only comes from above, a fire that burns in their souls revealing the hope that is theirs for the taking.

Hi Kim
Thank you so much for this post. It means a lot to me. God often keeps people in isolation, sometimes for a long time so that His will may come to pass in their lives. This post gives hope that one day – on His day- that isolation will end. With all kind regards,
Claire

Most people use the word hope in an entirely different context. “I hope I can win the lottery” or “I hope they win the game” is far different than what hope actually is. The Greek word for hope [elpizein] in the New Testament reflects a sense of confidence. It is literally, “a confidence and an expectation”. The Hebrew words (2 of them) for hope are kiwah [to trust] and batah [to be full of confidence, to trust]. So in actuality, hope is NOT a hope-so but a know-so. God is like the Prodigal Father, who puruses us, as has been said, like the Hounds of Heaven, to seek after that which was lost, to embrace, and kiss and to never, ever let go again (John 6:37, 10:28-29). Who else do we know that would give up, willingly, their only Son to die just for us. Now that love makes us worth something, right? Great message of hope Kim.
